Your Tru Perspective Blog

How Viewing Your Life From The Perspective Of Your Inner Truth Can Elevate Your Life To Unrecognisable Levels

Welcome! The essence of my book was forged through a period of intense personal chaos. I started this blog as a way to get comfortable with putting myself out there, always knowing that this moment would come. This space has always been about demonstrating one foundational truth: if you can just find a way to change the way you look at things, life really does begin to improve.
Whether you have been with me since the beginning or are just arriving, thank you for joining me on this journey.

  1. Do you remember as a child, getting those weird pains in your limbs, and being told they were growing pains. I can certainly remember telling my daughter she had growing pains whenever she would complain of the pains. I didn't have the awareness that I have now, and in a way felt as though I was fobbing her off, but I somehow inherently knew that diverting her attention away from the pain was much more productive that giving it more attention. And it was, I think I gave her my 'diagnosis' three times, and I seem to remember the fourth time she mentioned the pain, and then 'diagnosed' herself. And that diagnosis worked every single time, no further issues arose from said pain, because she trusted me and accepted that I knew what I was talking about. Of course I did and I didn't, but that didn't matter, what mattered was that she forgot about any pain, and moved on with her life.

Wouldn't it be nice if we took that into adulthood. Things only manifest when we give them our attention, our body naturally feels pain when it adapts to new circumstances, which could be brought on by any number of things. The important thing to take from this is that if we leave it alone to do it's thing, it will adapt with barely any problems. But we love to grab hold of  any and all bodily issues, and ponder on all the things that could be causing them, talk about them with others, think about them and worry about them. But is our attention to them that is making them bigger, every time - if you can divert your attention whilst they are small and inconsequential, then they will simply fade away.

So whenever you get an ache, or a pain, of any description, here's my diagnosis...............

    You have growing pains xx

  2. Sometimes, the only thing left for you to do, is to allow your pain, and your grief, and your despair, to break you wide open. In the darkness, there is always light, and sometimes you have to go looking for it. Not in spite of your pain, but because of it. Your pain is showing you the way through, so you have to feel everything it is giving you, every tear it will have you shed, the heavy heart that sometimes barely allows you to put one foot in front of another, the sadness that overwhelms you and paralyses you momentarily on a regular basis.

Just keep going...feeling your pain eventually releases it, and at some point you will see just a chink of light, reminding you that there are always better days ahead xx
